Hi! I’m Emerald, the face behind Blue and Blue!
I grew up in a very small town in Pennsylvania and have always been interested in art and anything hands-on. I’ve experimented with lots of different types of crafts over the years and find it’s the best way to spend my free time and relax!
I have a Business degree from Penn State and have previously worked in healthcare, as an assistant to my grandfather in his plumbing-heating-electrical business, and as a nanny.
I started making assembled and wire-wrapped jewelry just for fun in 2013 or so. After accumulating way too many pieces I opened an Etsy shop to see if I could sell anything, and fortunately I did! By early 2014 I also started selling at craft shows and by then I was completely obsessed with jewelry making.
I taught myself metalsmithing (the form of jewelry making I use now) that year as well, and have been growing and learning ever since. Making jewelry is now my full time job and I’m so lucky and fortunate to be able to do something I’m so passionate about every single day!
I handle all aspects of my business — from designing, creating, packaging, shipping, social media, administrative, and accounting work. When you purchase my pieces please know that you are directly supporting my small business and in turn my family. (And I can’t thank you enough!)
